As the Small Business Advisor for the Neighborhood Progress Fund Cheryl Merritt provides guidance and mentorship to small business owners, identifying their business and financial needs, effectively communicate NPF’s scope of services, as well as working with business owners on strategies to improve their businesses (including the facilitation of professional consulting services). With over 16 years of financial experience in Consumer and Small Business banking, Cheryl has supported and helped many businesses achieve their financial and personal goals.
Prior to joining Neighborhood Progress Fund, Cheryl Merritt was the VP, Financial Center Manager at Bank of America. During her career at Bank of America, she held several positions in Small Business, Facilitation, Auditing/Quality and Operations. As a top performing associate, Cheryl mentored and coached new hire associates to excel in their roles while ensuring great quality standards in their work.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Accounting from American Intercontinental University.
